The Giovanni Dos Santos saga has rumbled on for a long time. An end is in sight as Ukranian outfit FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk are on the verge of signing the ‘troubled’ Spurs midfielder.
Dos Santos arrived in N17 with the Premiership at his feet, truth be told. But he blew it. For those of us lucky enough to have watched him live or on the TV, he had talent in spades. Sure, he needed beefing up a little to cope to the push and pull of the Premiership however it would appear he was more interested in the bright lights of the West End.
Photographed on one occasion incapable of standing up after boozing, held up by minders it this was a photo that captured not an exception but the rule. So another victim of the huge temptations that the fame of the ‘modern game’ can bring.
FC Dnipro have just secured the signature of the another young forward Matheus, Brazilian. who has committed to a three and a half year contract.
Let’s hope this is a new beginning for Dos Santos.
