West Brom: Fans beg for ‘perfect role model’ Krovinovic to sign deal

Plenty of West Brom fans are praising Filip Krovinovic’s performance against Newcastle in the FA Cup despite their exit from the competition. The 24-year-old has expressed his disappointment at the result and supporters are begging him to sign a permanent contract with the club.

Krovinovic joined the Baggies on loan from Benfica in the 2019 summer transfer window and was Slaven Bilić’s first signing as head coach. There was no ‘option to buy’ clause in the Croatian’s contract, which has got some fans worried about the hole he will leave in the team.

“I cannot describe how sad I am that we didn’t make the last 8 of the FA Cup,” Krovinovic posted on his Instagram. “Now we have to concentrate on the remaining Championship games and getting back to where we belong – the Premier League.”

The playmaker really impressed against Newcastle after coming off the bench, with many fans adamant they would have won if he had started the game. Plenty of Albion supporters have noticed his progression under Bilić and are desperate for him to sign on a permanent basis. One fan has posted ‘sign immediately’ while another has hailed Krovinovic as the ‘perfect role model for all young footballers’.
