West Bromwich Albion loanee Callum Morton put in a strong shift for Northampton on the weekend, scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Grimsby Town. Baggies fans are full of praise for the 20-year-old striker, with one supporter branding him ‘a Scholes type’.
Morton has flourished at his loan club, getting stuck in on the front line and scoring five goals in six starts. His double goal-scoring performance at the weekend marks his second brace of the season but he has claimed he is now looking for a hat-trick (via Northampton Chronicle).
The youngster was also voted Northampton’s Player of the Month for February, claiming a huge 78% of the votes.
Cobblers fans are elated with their ‘excellent’ loan signing, but the West Brom fanbase are just as excited to see him picking apart League Two.
