In the absence of actual football due to the coronavirus pandemic, plenty of West Brom fans were instead enjoying a virtual face-off between two members of the Baggies’ squad.
Albion’s official website wba.co.uk hosted a FIFA 20 contest between Romaine Sawyers and Kyle Edwards, who played as Liverpool and Barcelona respectively, with updates being posted on the club’s official Twitter channel @WBA.

Any West Brom fans hoping for a closely-fought contest between the duo would be ultimately disappointed as Sawyers romped to a 5-0 victory over his team-mate, with four of those goals coming in a lopsided first half.
After the virtual match, @WBA on Twitter shared clips of the duo’s in-game reactions as well as the key moments of the match, while Edwards tweeted a tongue-in-cheek apology to his Baggies team-mate afterwards (via @KyleEdwardo).
