After West Bromwich Albion were knocked out of the FA Cup on Tuesday, fans have had time to reflect on what went wrong. The Baggies fell 3-2 to Newcastle despite a last-gasp effort to find a result and many are turning their frustration towards Slaven Bilić.
The Albion manager is coming under a lot of scrutiny following the FA Cup fixture at The Hawthorns, with many questioning the starting eleven he opted for.
Midfielders Chris Brunt and Gareth Barry have also received a lot of criticism for their lacklustre performances against the Magpies, but fans are now laying the blame on Bilić for his wrong squad choice. A few are disappointed with the match as a whole, with one fan complaining of an ‘awful atmosphere’ at the West Brom home ground.
A lot of supporters are disappointed that the Croatian seemingly didn’t take the cup tie seriously, whilst one fan has said he ‘completely bottled it’.
Billic deserves some stick for this selection, waste of everybody's time & money for those who have paid tonight. Another cup not taken seriously. #wba

He totally bottled that, one regular player changed that game, imagine what a few would’ve done.
Selling out SME killed the atmosphere, had to sit in East, fans more happy to talk than sing.

Gonna say it, been saying it for months, Bilic ain't as good as ppl make out!! Thank god I couldn't make the game tonight. Imagine conceding 3 to a team managed by Steve Bruce!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Why can’t we win the cup ? Or at least get to the final? One simple change in midfield with krov instead of Barry has made a huge difference to us 2nd half. Billic got this wrong tonight.

West From fans, what do you make of the eleven Bilić chose? Is the blame on him?
