West Brom have no distractions left so now their promotion push must take centre-stage if it wasn’t already.
Darren Moore has the right group of players that will make him confident of achieving just that and whilst they occupy 4thposition, their chances remain high.
The Baggies have been an established Premier League side and that is a title they could gain once again.
They made some interesting decisions during the January transfer window, some good and some bad but their best move of all was loaning Mason Holgate, a player that could genuinely have a huge say on whether they gain promotion or not.
Holgate, (who is valued at £6.3 million on Transfermarkt) has already proven to be a vital addition for West Brom’s defence.
The 22-year-old not only poses a sternness in defence but is more than capable of sprinting up the field. As shown already during his loan spell, the right-back isn’t afraid to go on surging runs and that helps his attackers, with more chances getting fed to them.
With an assist already to his name, Holgate would like to continue his contribution both in defence and attack, as West Brom eye a top-flight return.
At the age of 22, he is just surpassing the stage of being a “youngster” and he would hope to kick on, something he could do with West Brom willing to give him the game-time he needs.
Yes it could be argued that West Brom have other positions of concern but should they gain promotion into the Premier League, Mason Holgate would continue to be a very good fit in either centre-back or right-back for the Baggies, if they could extend his loan or better still, capture him permanently.
