West Bromwich Albion had the chance to go back top of the league on Wednesday night as they travelled to Wigan Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship.
Having seen Leeds United win at Hull, the Baggies knew that a victory of their own was needed to get back on top but, instead, they could only muster a draw against the Latics.
Indeed, it was a performance that was alien to much of what West Brom fans have come to expect from their side this year, with them looking well off of the pace and the home side looking the team more likely to win the game.
Even so, the men from the Hawthorns earned a point to at least stay level with the Whites as we head towards another big weekend of action.
One man earned praise for his performance during the game, too, and that was Sam Johnstone.
Let’s take a look at what was said on Twitter about his performance in between the sticks:
Not pretty at all but a point is a point. Thought Livermore and Johnstone had good games the others just made up the team. Onto Saturday #wba

In all fairness we have to see going in level at the break as a real positive as other than the performance of Johnstone I can’t see any others #wba
