It looks increasingly like James Shan could (via BBC Sport) take over at the Hawthorns, at least until the end of the season, and it is fair to say that most fans are not happy.
If appointed, the club will look to bring in someone with more experience to help him, but that has not appeased many Baggies supporters, judging by the reaction on Twitter.
One fan pointed the finger firmly at the board, labelling them “pathetic”. Other reactions accused them of taking the “cheap option for a change”, while one fan suggested they “should have just kept Moore”.
After it looked certain, at one stage, that former Fulham manager, Slavisa Jokanovic, would be installed, interest seems to have cooled.
It may have seemed a logical choice to put someone in temporary charge until the summer, but it seems a strange decision considering where Albion are in the table, and still one of the favourites to go up — albeit via the play-offs.
Add to that, the scenario that they may still reach the Premier League. What then?
It would leave them in a tough position — to sack the man that steadied the ship and finished the job; or keep faith in him and risk another Moore situation — Same thing different year!
It remains to be seen if Shan is given a longer spell in the dugout, but here are some of the fans’ reactions from Twitter:

So if Shan gets us promotion we sack him? We know that won’t happen. We don’t learn lessons. Every decision we make seems to be rash and without a back up plan. Should have just kept Moore.
