According to The Mirror, West Brom are set to make an offer for Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac, renewing their interest in him from the summer window and our resident Baggies fans here in the Transfer Tavern hope they can get it over the line this time!
The Hawthorns outfit opted against buying the player with his contract up at the end of this season and with him yet to extend his deal with the German side, they could now go back in and sign him for a cheaper price.
Kolasinac is an international for Bosnia-Herzegovina and represented them at the 2014 World Cup – their first appearance in the competition.
Schalke have had a tough start to the Bundesliga season but have picked up in recent weeks whilst West Brom are fresh from a win against the champions Leicester City at the weekend.
The midlands club now sit in eleventh place in the Premier League table as we head into an international break.
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern thinks that West Brom are an incredibly sturdy side, and think this addition would enhance the club’s backline ten-fold!
