CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs, sharing news on West Ham United‘s summer transfer plans, has now dropped an update on their pursuit of Chelsea forward Armando Broja.
The Lowdown: Moyes eyeing move…
The Hammers and manager David Moyes, amid their hunt for a new striker to partner or back up Michail Antonio, have been linked with a swoop for Broja who shone on loan at Southampton over 2021/2022.
It is believed that the Albania international is a target for GSB and recruitment chief Rob Newman as West Ham aim to maintain their impressive Premier League rise over the last two campaigns.
Having just missed out on a Europa League place on the final day of 2021/2022, Moyes and co will be looking to make amends and ensure they have the strength necessary to challenge further up the table for next season.
The Latest: West Ham eye Broja move…
According to CBS journalist Jacobs, West Ham are still very much in the mix for Broja as they eye a move for Moyes.

However, sharing an update, he hints much could depend on Chelsea’s ability to a deal over Romelu Lukaku.
He explained:
“Be interesting, if/when Chelsea let Lukaku go if that changes how they handle Armando Broja. West Ham and Forest both interested. Told Tuchel is still keen to assess him during pre-season before deciding if he’s surplus to requirements.”
The Verdict: Make a move?
Reports have suggested that Broja could cost in and around the €70 million (£60m) mark to prise away from Chelsea this summer, but if a much more realistic price tag can be agreed upon, we believe Broja may well be an ideal capture.
