West Ham considering change of transfer plan as they look for international signing

Jack Wilshere (5)

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their side is going to do some late business with it being Deadline Day.

Though the summer dealings for the club have looked fairly impressive, they have not led to a good start to this campaign and that is something they will need to address.

New players, then, could be part of that solution but they do not have long so it remains to be seen just who they can manage to bring in in the coming hours.

One man named by the Sun, though, is Jack Wilshere, with the Arsenal midfielder seemingly out of favour at the club right now and certainly looking to restart his career.

He could jump at the move to the Hammers, then, but it’s thought that he’ll only get the chance to go there if the Hammers decide that they definitely cannot get William Carvalho.

The Portuguese international had looked set for a move to east London but that is well in the balance now and so we’re intrigued – as Wilshere must be – to see how this one is going to play out.

Landlord’s Verdict

It’s been a tough start to the season for the Hammers and so some new players coming in today might help soften that blow.

For sure, they cannot afford to fall behind again so early on this time around and so, be it Carvalho or Wilshere, the club needs to be active today.

Thoughts, West Ham fans? Let us know below!
