It continues to be a frustrating season for the West Ham United fans parked up at the bar in the Transfer Tavern as their side struggle to pick up even in the slightest bit of momentum, even at this stage of the campaign.
Still, frustrating as that may be, reports from Football London have gone down a storm today amongst the east London locals. They claim top brass at the London Stadium are ready to hand Winston Reid a new deal at the club, to put him on parity with January signing Jose Fonte.
The Kiwi has been one of the Irons’ best players this season, despite all the problems at the club and has risen through the Championship with them over the last few years. With that in mind, he’s understood to be ready for a bumper new deal, something that could reportedly take him up to £70k-per-week.
That would apparently put him on level terms with the aforementioned Portuguese and our West Ham supporting locals are delighted Reid could be rewarded for his efforts.
