West Ham United fans present in the Transfer Tavern are excited at the prospect of the club signing a new striker during the January transfer window, but one man it definitely will not be is Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin.
The statement of being happy with his squad could be a bit of reverse psychology and it would be no surprise if the club did pursue a striker before the transfer window slammed shut.
One Hammers fan thinks the club are incredibly light in attack and if they have any aspirations for European football, an attacking player is a must for the club.
A Queens Park Rangers fan munching on a pub meal from the Transfer Tavern’s bar menu thinks that the R’s will do incredibly well to still list Austin as one of their players come the end of January.
