West Ham: Fans discuss Roberto Jimenez amid likely summer sale

West Ham United goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez will reportedly be sold by the club in the summer, and a lot of fans are very happy about the news after it was posted on Twitter.

West Ham Gossip posted that the club ‘will definitely sell Roberto this summer’, according to Football.London, presuming that they can find a buyer.

The Spaniard signed for the East London side last summer on a free transfer from La Liga side Espanyol, per Transfermarkt, but it is safe to say he did not have the best of times in the Premier League.

The goalkeeper made eight appearances due to Łukasz Fabianski suffering an injury, per Transfermarkt, and in that time he conceded 17 goals, with two of them being due to his own mistakes, via Premier League.

These performances frustrated both the fanbase and the club, which led to him being shipped out on loan to CD Alaves in Spain in January, via Transfermarkt.

Roberto is also in the top four of an unwanted list which relates to players with the most 2019/20 Premier League starts without ever ending said matches on the winning team, via WhoScored.com, as he has started eight games and ended up on the losing side seven times.

Here is what fans had to say following the news, with most delighted that his career at West Ham looks over…
