West Ham fans on Twitter have been given the best update that they possibly could have wanted when yesterday the club announced that Manuel Lanzini had returned to first-team training. The news, broken on the West Ham United website, went down extremely well with the supporters, and they cannot wait to have the jewel in their crown back.
Great to have you back working with the squad again, @manulanzini! https://t.co/vaxJkCdpke

The Hammers have assembled a really impressive squad of players, with Lanzini, Felipe Anderson and Marko Arnautovic, should the Austrian stay, making up a trio of attacking talent that is more than a match for anyone on their day. However, with Lanzini yet to feature this season as he recovers from a knee injury, the fans don’t yet know what they’re capable of.
That could be set to change soon, though, as with Lanzini back in training it’s just a matter of time until he makes his long-awaited return to the pitch where he’ll be desperate to spearhead the Irons push for a top-eight finish in the Premier League. It certainly won’t be easy, though, and with competition from Leicester, Watford, Wolves and Everton, it will take Lanzini at his very best to get the Hammers to their goal.
You can read the Irons’ thoughts on Lanzini here:
At last our diamond is back in training, hooray. It will be like a new signing.
