West Ham are a club on the rise at the moment. The Hammers have bagged themselves three straight wins, scoring three goals in all of those as they’ve beaten Newcastle, Brighton and Crystal Palace. However, despite the great mood at the London Stadium, after Andy Carroll’s comments about having 60,000 fans in the stadium, a lot of those fans have been slating the big man.

Through no fault of his own, Andy Carroll is an extremely injury prone striker. The England man, much like many other unfortunate footballers, is made of glass at times. The 29-year-old has missed 12 Premier League games through injury this season alone, and last season saw him miss an incredible 17 games in all competitions, so you can see why the fans aren’t too keen on having him around.
Then there’s the fact that Carroll is on a reported £80,000 per week, something that the fans hate the idea of considering they’re paying him to receive treatment on whatever injury he’s suffering with at the time. His comments about the fans are genuine enough, seeing as he looks to love scoring goals for the Hammers when he’s fit, but under the management of Manuel Pellegrini, it’s hard to see a way back to becoming the first name on the teamsheet for the target man.

The Irons have been quick to stifle any excitement following Carroll’s comments and would love to see the 29-year-old depart in January.
