West Ham: Fans react to new Commemorative 125th Anniversary Home Kit

Next campaign will be a special season at West Ham no matter what division they are in as the Hammers will be celebrating their 125th year.

There had been rumours of a special kit coming out and these rumours have been confirmed as the club tweeted out the first images of the new Commemorative 125th Anniversary Home Kit that will be worn for the 2020/21 season, and many fans are flooding Twitter to express their opinions on it.

West Ham were founded in 1895 as a company team and recreational outlet for local workers of the Thames Ironworks, and then changed their name to what it is today around 1901.

It is a very simple strip, with their typical claret colour down the middle, whilst the sleeves and collar are light blue. The badge is also this colour, however the Irons fan base haven’t seemed to like the kit as much as the club would have thought, particularly the crest.

Indeed the word ‘London’ being on the emblem is a bone of contention with one supporter, whilst another wasn’t happy that the Boleyn castle wasn’t featured – this was regularly on their older badges.
