West Ham are set to appoint David Moyes as manager within the next 24 hours according to reports by the Mirror, but it’s no surprise that many fans aren’t happy with the decision, and it’s clear some would even prefer a return to the Sam Allardyce days.
During his four years at the club between June 2011 and May 2015, Big Sam managed 181 games in total, winning 68, drawing 46 and losing 67. That leaves him with a win percentage of 37.57 per cent after one season in the Championship and three in the Premier League. During David Moyes’ time as manager before Manuel Pellegrini, his win percentage was 29.03 per cent for the 31 games he was in charge for.
Hammers fan account West Ham Central posted a sarcastic tweet about the club’s next managerial appointment, saying “Moyes or Sam? I’d have Sam for the absolute banter”. However, some fans replied, and they were serious about bringing in Allardyce over David Moyes.
