Inconsistency appears to have been a real problem for West Ham United this season, doesn’t it? The Hammers have managed to put together a number of impressive results at times throughout the campaign, however, at times they have failed to build upon those with some poor performances and silly defeats.
With Manuel Pellegrini expected to continue making changes to his squad in the summer, it appears they continue to be linked to a player who could considerably help them in becoming a little more consistent.

Calciomercato are running with a story stating that West Ham are interested in AC Milan’s Franck Kessie.
The Italians could look to offload the Ivorian in the summer to raise funds, although an offer would have to be in the region of 40million (£34.2m) to allow him to leave the Serie A giants.
The Verdict:
West Ham may already have a couple of good options who can play in the defensive midfield, however, there would not be many that are better than Kessie and the Hammers should look to do all they can to bring him to the London Stadium.
The Ivorian is a classy footballer who is exceptionally gifted when it comes to being on the ball, as he can be as effective going forward as he can be in front of the defence.
He rarely misses a tackle whilst he also has the ability to play a cutting pass through the opposition backline and can also chip in with goals as well.
A player who is full of intensity and energy, the 22-year-old is extremely physical and has a commanding presence which is something West Ham could potentially benefit from, with Declan Rice currently lacking the physicality from his own game.
Although Kessie could turn out to be an extremely expensive buy for the Hammers, it would be a signing that would match their ambitions and would be one that allows for them to become more consistent with their results in the future.
