West Ham United will be desperate to return to winning ways against Fulham on Friday night after failing to make the most of a promising position against Crystal Palace.
The Hammers will be pleased with their recent performances but they haven’t quite managed to turn one point into three, as they’ve drawn against Palace and Liverpool in their last two Premier League games.
Interestingly, it appears as if the London club attempted to sign a striker last month, as according to Gianluca Di Marzio (via Goal.com), West Ham bid €40 million (£35 million) for Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata.

However, the big-money offer was rebuffed by the Serie A side as they were reluctant to part with a prized asset midway through the 2018-19 campaign.
Indeed, it’s safe to say that the Hammers could have done with bringing an attacker in last month as Marko Arnautovic hasn’t been at his best in recent times, with goals being hard to come by.
THE VERDICT:
Duvan Zapata has established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe in the current campaign, with 21 goals to his name in 31 appearances in all competitions.
The Hammers definitely need to look at bringing in a striker at the end of the season as they’re still yet to find the right formula at the pinnacle of the attack.
