Things haven’t been going too well for the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern, who can often be found drowning their sorrows and lamenting both often and loudly about life in the London Stadium.
Despite a busy summer of transfer activity, many of the Hammers’ arrivals over the course of the window don’t look like working out already.
One of those is Turkish winger Gokhan Tore, whose return to England has been a thoroughly miserable one so far.
Having started his career with Chelsea, the 24-year-old joined the Irons on loan from Besiktas, though has since struggled with life back in London.
Now, according to the Sun, the club want to cancel the loan, though his parent team are reportedly wary of bringing the flop winger back to Istanbul.
Senior figures in east London are believed to view the summer signing as a complete disaster and are thought to be ready to simply write off the £2.5m they paid for his loan.
