There’s not a lot to shout about striker wise at West Ham United right now, with summer signing Simone Zaza struggling to convince the punters in the Transfer Tavern.
Having tried so hard to land a marquee marksman over the course of the summer, the fact the Hammers are still without a man to put the ball in the back of the net gripes amongst our east London locals.
So, reports from the Sun today are at least promising ones.
They claim young forward Ashley Fletcher is to STAY at the London Stadium, despite not getting too much game time, unless the club are able to bring in another forward.
Leeds United have previously been reported to be keen on the 21-year-old forward in an ambitious loan deal, though he is reportedly off bounds with the African Cup of Nations coming up.
Both Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew could depart then and the ex-Manchester United is believed to be a big part of the setup.
Just how good is Ashley Fletcher? Let us know below…
