According to The Express, West Ham striker Andy Carroll could be set for a big money move to China with our resident Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping he decides against it and gets back into their side instead.
The former Liverpool and Newcastle United forward has endured an injury hit spell with the east London side, and is currently out at the moment with an issue but has scored goals when he has been fit.
It is thought, that despite his injury record, both Beijing Guoan and Guangzhou R&F are keen on securing his services in a deal purportedly worth an eye-watering £300,000 a week.
The striker has 23 goals in 92 appearances for the Hammers but the club have had to play the likes of Simone Zaza up front instead in his absence, a player who has still yet to find the net.
One piece of positive news in that area is that Andre Ayew is fully fit and playing for the team so goals should be around the corner.
Our landlord can’t envisage seeing Carroll jump ship to China in January, and thinks the striker needs to stay at West Ham to enhance any chances he may have of getting into the England national team.
