West Ham United insider Claret & Hugh have shared a fairly promising update on the club’s chances of signing Belgium international Hans Vanaken.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth backs that West Ham hold a serious interest in Vanaken, and while they’ve had an opening offer rejected, it is believed they will keep pushing.
The 29-year-old is also thought to be interested in joining David Moyes’ side and an insider has now weighed in with their own small update.
The Latest: Moyes could land Vanaken for £10m
Indeed, Claret & Hugh claim that Vanaken could join West Ham before September 1 with a potential move contributing to their major financial outlay this summer.
C&H, stating the east Londoners’ spend could reach the £150million mark this summer, subtly add Moyes ‘could yet land’ the Jupiler Pro League star for a further ‘£10m’.
The Verdict: Get it done?
Reaching the twilight phase of his career, Moyes and co will be running out of time to seal a deal for Vanaken whilst he is at the peak of his powers.
His goals and assists return over 2021/2022 is arguably reason enough for West Ham to consider a move, not least the glowing endorsement by former teammate Onur Kaya.
Kaya labelled Vanaken a ‘big player’ with ‘extraordinary intelligence’ and his added attacking threat in the final third could be very beneficial to Moyes ahead of a long, challenging campaign.
