West Ham United have been part of a meeting with Bologna sporting director Riccardo Bigon in London as he offers out five players, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Busy summer looming...

David Moyes will need sufficient backing this summer if he is to maintain the Hammers' status as a real Premier League force to be reckoned with.

The Scotsman allegedly has his sights on the signings of a central defender, midfielder and new striker in the next few months as head of recruitment Rob Newman and club owners GSB look to make up for a dismal January transfer window.

Now, as per Calcio Napoli 24, it appears the club have held talks with Serie A club chief Bigon as he offers out five Bologna players to a plethora of top flight sides ahead of 2022/2023.

The Latest: London meeting held...

As per their information, Bologna's high-ranking official has made Napoli's path to signing players from the Rossoblù difficult by flying to London to 'sell them in the Premier League'.

He met with West Ham, alongside other teams, in London yesterday as he looks to 'sell five players'.

Of the names mentioned, it is believed that Mattias Svanberg, Aaron Hickey, Jerdy Schouten, Arthur Theate and Riccardo Orsolini are all up for grabs as the Irons are allegedly handed the chance to take their pick.

The Verdict: Hickey - get it done?

Hickey is a player linked to West Ham in the past and who could now be on the table for Moyes.

We believe the left-back stands out as a particularly brilliant target and one who could really be a perfect fit for the east Londoners.

The ex-Hearts sensation has attracted attention for his real potential and already boasts two senior caps for Scotland at international level - impressive given Hickey is still just a teenager.

Rated at around £13.5 million by Transfermarkt, a figure in and around this amount could be a bargain given Hickey's promise and Moyes may well have a real chance to sign a fool-proof successor to Aaron Cresswell.
