Even though West Ham claimed a 3-1 victory on the weekend, some fans feel like it is the end of an era as they tweet for legend Mark Noble to be dropped from the starting eleven.
The 32-year-old defensive midfielder has been at West Ham since the start of his career – only leaving on loan to Hull City and Ipswich for less than 20 games in total – and has been a major figure for fans over the years for the passion he shows for the club. Indeed, he has featured 25 times for the Irons and has scored 4 goals, though he was brutally honest in January after admitting that West Ham shouldn’t be relying on him to come off the bench in their FA Cup loss to West Brom. With the arrival of Tomáš Souček – who ran eight miles and impressed David Moyes against Manchester City recently – in January, many believe Noble will feature less for the side when the on-loan midfielder recovers from injury. Indeed, fans spoke on Twitter to discuss Noble’s future in the side:

Soucek for Noble and then last Saturdays line up looks strong. Could argue over Anderson’s inclusion depending whether the interested or disinterested Anderson shows up.

I noticed this from the ground he just kinda gave up or maybe his legs did .I also assumed Soucek had been bought so Nobes would become a squad player ..which doesnt seem to be the case

Unfortunately, as much as noble will forever be a legend, he just isn’t worthy of first team football. Don’t get me wrong we do need him around as he is everything about West Ham

All players come to the end and in reality, I feel he should bow out gracefully. Once Soucek is fit again Mark won’t make the cut.
