West Ham United have confirmed that Ryan Fredericks is set for a month on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring strain during their FA Cup third-round victory against Gillingham on Sunday (@WestHam).
The 27-year-old underwent a scan which revealed the damage in his right leg and he will now begin rehabilitation with the Hammers hopeful that he will return before the end of February.
As a result, the ex-Fulham man will definitely be missing for West Ham’s upcoming January league games against Sheffield United, Everton, Leicester City and Liverpool as well as their FA Cup tie against West Brom (whufc.com).
Added to that he could also miss fixtures against Brighton and Manchester City which take place in early February (whufc.com).
It is certainly a huge blow for the Hammers, with Pablo Zabaleta now their only senior option at right-back.
