27-year-old lynchpin reportedly wants Leeds United talks

Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can secure a win in their next outing, after losing to Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

The Whites looked like challenging for automatic promotion towards the start of the current campaign, but the sacking of Thomas Christiansen has left them in even more trouble. And, it doesn’t seem like our local residents are the only ones worried about the current situation, as according to Swedish outlet Expressen, Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has confirmed that he wants talks with the club about the direction they are heading in.

Pontus Jansson has been the standout performer for the Whites so far this season, with many of our local residents expecting even bigger things from him at Elland Road in the future.

Although, the club’s future seems to be a difficult topic for the Swede to take in at this moment in time, as he’s confirmed that he wants talks with the club about the direction they are heading in. Indeed, the 27-year-old seems to be fed up with their recent run of negative results, as the club look to have taken a step backwards under current manager Paul Heckingbottom.

And, when he was asked about next term, Jansson had this to say: “We’ll see what’s happening, I want to hear from the club how to look next year and so on.”

Landlord’s Verdict:

Leeds United have gone from bad to worse in recent weeks as they just can’t seem to buy a win, with the poor run of results now taking its toll on defender Pontus Jansson. Indeed, this is the last thing that the club wanted to hear from one of their star players, with a move away from Elland Road being a possibility if the current problems aren’t resolved.
