Manchester City kept their Premier League title ambitions alive in dramatic fashion on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side came from behind to secure a huge 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, with a late, controversial penalty sealing the win deep into stoppage time.

The result leaves City six points behind leaders Arsenal with 13 games still to play, ensuring the title race remains very much alive.

While focus remains firmly on the run-in, it appears City are already planning ahead, with recruitment work for the summer window well underway.

City Submit Dewsbury-Hall Offer

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manchester City have stepped up their pursuit of Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and have already lodged an opening bid worth around £35 million.

However, Everton are reportedly holding out for a fee closer to £40 million before entertaining a sale.

Dewsbury-Hall has enjoyed a rapid rise since arriving at Goodison Park last summer. After struggling for consistent minutes during a difficult spell at Chelsea, the England midfielder opted for a fresh start, joining Everton in a £25m move.

The decision has proven inspired, with his energy, technical ability and box-to-box intelligence quickly making him a key figure under David Moyes.

His performances have not gone unnoticed. Everton legend Wayne Rooney has been among those to praise the midfielder’s impact, describing him as “excellent” during his standout displays in the Premier League. With City always on the lookout for dynamic midfield options capable of operating in multiple roles, Dewsbury-Hall’s profile fits the bill perfectly.

While Everton are reluctant to lose such an influential figure, Manchester City’s early move signals just how highly Dewsbury-Hall is rated.

Whether City return with an improved offer remains to be seen, but interest from the champions only underlines the midfielder’s impressive resurgence — and could make this one of the more intriguing battles of the summer transfer window.
