Sheffield Wednesday fans will be delighted with some of the business they pulled off in the January transfer window. The Owls were delighted to welcome both Achraf Lazaar and Ronaldo Aarons to the club and the latter of the two shone yesterday with two assists on his first start in a 3-1 win over Swansea City.

Whilst plenty of football fans may feel like he’s been around for years, Rolando Aarons is only 23-years-old and has a lot of potential still even if his Newcastle career has tailed off under the management of both Steve McLaren and Rafa Benitez. However, this current move to Hillsborough could be the move that the winger needs to get his career well and truly back on track.
Playing under a manager like Steve Bruce will only enhance the opportunities that the winger has. under Bruce at Aston Villa, Jack Grealish matured greatly as a player and became a much more threatening attacking force, and that is exactly what the Newcastle fans will be desperate to see happen to Aarons, even if the Wednesday fans will be keen to bring him in on a permanent deal in summer.
