A lot of West Ham fans do not understand the reasoning behind the latest transfer speculation surrounding the club linking Felipe Anderson with a move to Italian outfit Napoli, who are willing to offer Hirving Lozano in return, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Lozano has been linked to West Ham before, as Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso has not rated the winger. It is understandable to see why when you look at the Mexican’s statistics this campaign. He has featured 16 times and only scored two goals and contributed with one assist, via Transfermarkt, whilst he has also lost his place in the starting eleven due to his poor form.
Meanwhile Anderson, who signed for £34.20 million in 2018, per Transfermarkt, is not having the best season either, as he has only managed one goal and four assists in 22 games.
It seems like quite a risk for the Irons to do a swap deal here, as Lozano is unproven in England and even though the Brazilian is having a poor campaign in the Premier League, he has proved he can perform well in this division as he scored nine goals and provided six assists in his debut season, (2018/19), per Transfermarkt.
Anderson also has on average managed more key passes per game, 1.1 compared to 0.8, and completed more dribbles per game, 2.8 compared to 0.8, via WhoScored.
