The Middlesbrough fans in the Transfer Tavern seem pleased with the sacking of Garry Monk.
The club have officially confirmed that they have parted ways with Garry Monk and will be looking to bring in a new manager to lead the club.
Monk was sacked despite leading the club to just below the play-off places.
But expectations were high and fans were hoping to bounce straight back with another promotion to the Premier League.
Given his summer spending, Monk has underachieved at Boro after choosing to leave Leeds in favour of a move to The Riverside Stadium.
Tony Pulis, formerly of Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace, has emerged as an early favourite to replace Garry Monk as Boro boss and he could well have a full January to bring in his own players too.
Here are how some Boro fans reacted to this breaking news on Twitter.

Me too. The players have been lazy compared to other teams. Missed a boatload of chances and schoolboy defending.
But surprised after winning tiday. Shades of Southgate timing— Alan (@huntyhouse) December 23, 2017
What a Christmas gift!!!
