Regulars at the bar here in the Transfer Tavern are in hot debate this morning, with the discussion being the next destination for David Moyes, who looks on the brink of the sack from his current club Real Sociedad this week.
Indeed, it is widely suggested that the former Everton and Manchester United boss will be relieved of his duties in San Sebastian today, with the club languishing in 16th in La Liga. It appears that Moyes’ tenure at the club will be remembered as something of a bit of a disaster, with those around the club saying that the Scot has failed to understand the team or the league during his spell.
However, one place Moyes could end up is the Premier League. Though his previous two jobs at Sociedad and Manchester United have not placed him in great stead, Moyes is still greatly respected for the job he did at Everton. Indeed, several Premier League clubs would love to have Moyes in charge, and here are five possible clubs in the Premier League that he could move to.

Newcastle United
Though their recent win over AFC Bournemouth meant the Magpies go into the international break outside the bottom three, the pressure on Steve McLaren is not up just yet. Newcastle performed poorly against the Cherries, and if the bad results creep back, McLaren could be on his way.
Newcastle have several talented players in their squad, such as Georgino Wijnaldum, Alexsandr Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez. Moyes could be the man to utilise their talent to perfection.
Swansea City
With reports emerging that Garry Monk could soon be facing the sack from Swansea, the South Wales outfit could soon turn to Moyes as an alternative. Swansea also have a relatively talented squad, but have been leaking goals of late.
Chairman Huw Jenkins could hope that Moyes organised approach could tighten Swansea’s fortunes at the back, in order to make sure that they won’t find themselves in a relegation battle.
Chelsea
This is probably about as likely as Lionel Messi joining Stoke, but stranger things have happened at Chelsea in the past.
With Jose Mourinho also severely under pressure, Moyes could be in the frame as a short-term option caretaker manager. In the past, Chelsea appointed Rafael Benitez as interim boss, and despite his unpopularity, the Spaniard managed to deliver a Europa League that season.
Perhaps Moyes could do something similar?
AFC Bournemouth
Again at this stage, it is unlikely that Bournemouth will let current manager Eddie Howe go, who is widely seen as one of the best up and coming managers. Bournemouth have been desperately unlucky with not only injuries, but also have not got the results their performances deserve.
However, the Cherries have been guilty of not being efficient enough in their dominance, and an experienced manager like Moyes could teach them this, and ultimately help them stay in the Premier League.
Norwich City
Norwich City’s recent victory over Swansea City relieved the pressure off Moyes’ fellow Scotsman Alex Neil slightly. However, if Norwich come back from the international break and fail to pick up further points, Neil could also find his job under threat.
Though Neil is a promising manager, his lack of experience could also mean Norwich are going into games with a naive approach. Moyes could be the answer to this problem.
