Journalist Paul Brown claims that Amadou Onana’s future at Everton is not ‘secure’, and that he ‘looks a little disinterested’.

Onana was linked with moves to Newcastle United, Arsenal and Chelsea in the January transfer window, impressing in the first half of the season after arriving from Lille in the summer.
However, his form seems to have dipped under Sean Dyche, perhaps being distracted by where he could have moved to in January.
The Latest: Onana future unclear
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Brown claims that Onana ‘looks a little disinterested’, noting that he has been ‘inconsistent’ since January, and says that his future at Goodison Park is not ‘secure’:
“He’s been quite inconsistent since January. At times, he looks like a great player and at times, he looks a little disinterested. I think he’s still a bit raw and inexperienced.
“But I think if the nightmare scenario was to happen and Everton get relegated, they would be forced to sell anyone who brings them in a profit. Onana might be one of those players you’d have on a list where they might be able to get a good fee for him from a bigger club that’s going places.
“So, I don’t think his future is secure by any stretch of the imagination.”
The Verdict: Arm around the shoulder
Onana needs an arm around the shoulder from Dyche to try and get him back onto his best form, as it could be the difference between the Merseyside club staying up or getting relegated.
Over the whole season, the 21-year-old has still been one of their most consistent performers, ranking highly among his team-mates for average tackles, interceptions, shots, key passes, dribbles and pass success rate per game in the Premier League (WhoScored).
The Toffees may be tempted to make a quick profit on him by selling him to a ‘big six’ side, but they should be under no rush to let him go.
