Bye Bye! The 2 most likely players to quit Southampton this summer

Claude Puel has had a decent season in his first year in charge of Southampton, guiding the Saints to what looks like being a top half finish, as well as a League Cup final.

The Southampton fans here in the Tavern have been pretty happy with how things have gone, and they will no doubt go into the summer in a buoyant mood barring catastrophe between now and the end of the campaign.

Talk in the Tavern this week has centred very much around player departures, and in particular which players might actually look to quit the club. Players are always on the lookout for either a big money move, or simply for a change of scenery if things have got stale.

With this in mind, we have taken a look at TWO Southampton players who could well quit the club this summer…

Sofiane Boufal

It could well be just that he needs time to settle, but the big money summer signing is one who might look to move on after just a year with the club.

Boufal has not quite found his rhythm with the Saints, and if a bid comes in for the attacking midfielder, then Southampton and the player might well agree on terms with regards to his departure.

Nathan Redmond

Despite having an excellent season and earning an England call-up, the big names will more than likely come sniffing for Redmond this summer, potentially turning his head.

Should a Liverpool or a Man City make their move for Redmond, then it could well be enough for the tricky former Norwich winger to decide on a move away from St Mary’s.
