Drop them: Monk must axe these 2 players from today’s starting Leeds XI against Preston

Garry Monk takes his Leeds United team into a game against in form Preston today, knowing the pressure is building around Elland Road following defeat in midweek.

The Leeds manager has done a superb job in getting his team playing some excellent football and challenging at the right end of the table, and a win against North End could put them firmly back on track.

Rightly so, the Leeds fans here in the Tavern have been making plenty of noise over by the fruit machine these past few weeks, but this week, there seems to a certain nervousness creeping in to the atmosphere.

With the build up to such a big game, our landlord has been chatting to the Leeds lot about team selection, and plenty of Leeds fans think Monk could shake things up and make a few changes to his line-up.

With this in mind, here are TWO Leeds players who could be axed for today’s game with Preston…

Mo Barrow

The on loan winger was given his chance in midweek when Monk made some changes to the side which faced Brentford.

However, Barrow failed to impress, and was withdrawn around an hour in to the game. Monk may well opt for more changes today, and Barrow could be one who fails to make the XI this weekend.

Stuart Dallas

Another player given a chance in midweek was versatile midfielder Dallas, but again, he was far from impressive.

Monk might well opt to take Dallas back out and place him back on the bench for what is now a crucial game against playoff chasing Preston.
