Kean Closes in on £3m Argentine Hitman

Mauro FormicaBlackburn Rovers boss, Steve Kean, is reportedly on the brink of securing a £3million deal for Argentine attacking midfielder, Mauro Formica.

Galatasaray are said to have been close to sealing a switch for the 22-year-old until Blackburn apparently hijacked the deal.

Kean is ready to offer the Formica a 4 and a half year contract at Ewood Park in a bid to encourage a more attractive style of football in East Lancashire.

The Argentine’s arrival may worry some of the current team with rumours circulating about the potential departures of Jason Roberts and El-Hadji Diouf.

The Newell’s Old Boys forward is best known for his adventurous attacking play and skill. He is exceptionally versatile too and can play on the left, right and up top.

Since the takeover from Indian chicken giants, Venky’s, Blackburn has been in a time of transition. The departure of Sam Allardyce has encouraged a more adventurous style of football as Rovers look to bring in players to suit their new means.
