Leeds United: Fans show appreciation towards Luke Ayling

Plenty of Leeds United fans have heaped praise on the shoulders of Luke Ayling after he posted a message via social media.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side sit on top spot in the Championship after a superb season which has seen them bounce back from play-off semi-final defeat at the hands of Derby County last season.

The Argentine tactician has been excellent in guiding his side to sit on the verge of an automatic promotion to the Premier League and many fans are eagerly anticipating football’s return to see that happen. Such consistency this season has come from a superb collective performance from the Leeds squad as certain players have stood out, including Ayling, who has been playing at a very high standard.

The 28-year-old right back has scored four goals and registered four assists during his 28 league appearances this term.

Responding to a recent tweet on his performances via Sky Sports News, Ayling said that he was “missing” football badly and he has gained plenty of reaction from Leeds fans in the process:

Back training with your team mates soon, so at least that’s a start and should help. Who knows when you’ll have a proper match, but it’s something :).
