Warren Haughton of Talksport stopped by in the Football Transfer Tavern this weekend, revealing that both Newcastle and Wigan are interested in PSV Eindhoven winger Jeremain Lens, with £10million the suggested transfer fee.
Southampton failed in an attempt to sign the Netherlands international in the summer, with the striker understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has said how he is planning to leave the Phillips Stadion at the end of the season, although a January bid from either club could see him part company even sooner.
He told Elf Voetbal Magazine: “At the end of this season, I will be 25 and then a transfer must come. I would like to leave PSV with the title but if that does not happen it is still no reason to stay.
“At this point in my career I need to go for my career and personal development. I don’t have a real preference for a particular league but in terms of playing style England and Germany would suit me.”
